Astrospheric KP index update

Hello fellow astronomers,

I'm happy to release a new forecast update today which adds the KP index to both the 48 hour and extended forecast. This index can be used to determine the likelihood of seeing the aurora at your location and is imported from NOAAs Space Weather Prediction Center. More info and tips on seeing the aurora can be found here.

For those of you subscribed to Astrospheric weather alerts, you can now set alerts taking KP values into account. Check your weather alert settings for details.

Naturally not everyone will be interested in seeing the KP index on their forecast. It can easily be tuned in settings to only show when a specific KP value is met. For example, I have my KP set for 6+ for my location in Washington. It's also possible to turn the KP forecast off.

That's it for now, thanks for reading!

Clear skies,
Dan
