Moon Details
The moon details card on Astrospheric shows at a glance information for current and future moon events. The details are computed dynamically for your current forecast location. Getting a forecast for another location will update the moon data accordingly.
Current Details
- Altitude: Apparent altitude above horizon at the current location. Arrow indicates direction (is it rising or setting)
- Illuminated: Current % of the moon visibly illuminated by the sun.
- Age (days): Days since the last new moon.
Next Moon Phase shows the dates of the next quarter moon event.
In addition to current and phases, the Moon details will also display Lunar Eclipse data if an eclipse will occur at the given location in the next year. The Lunar Eclipse data card is similar to the Solar Eclipse data, however lunar specific events like Penumbral times are included.
